Early morning Waikiki Surfers

Hi Surfermums,

Was too busy on Oahu to post, so here's a picture of two surfermums paying homage to the Duke after an early morning surf... at Waikiki.  The next day the surf was bigger and we had other tours booked so I had to leave the surfing to the Grommie (thanks for the loan of the board Glen). I had fun surfing in the warm water in a bikini, we had to leave it as we hadn't had breakfast and were getting cold in the early morning breeze (I did see people paddling out to the break at 5.00 am and in the evening twilight!...

Also had a tour of Pearl Harbour (Arizona memorial, USS Missouri etc), Hiked up Diamond Head, ate Malasadas (just like a jam doughnut but instead of jam had a chocolate filling - great breakfast after a surf), and also hit the shops......great trip - see you in the surf!

Hi surfermums. Turtles, snorkeling, volcanos, black sand beaches,
Good food, waterfalls, sunsets & beer, warm seas. .. But surf. .. Well it will have to be SUP...
So relaxing accept driving on the other side of the road. . Freaking me out! !!!
Only photos on phone are ones that aren't in the water so apologies for that but will endeavor to get some up on bog. . Here I am 3000m+ above sea level and a sunset. And another beer. .

Day 1 Maui

Ok surfer mums have arrived after a long overnight flight with crying babies. ... Then a connecting flight to Maui.   So we have a hire car at the unit now we refuse to use the US term that starts with a C  and ends with an O.. have now finished Thai takeaway with a local beer. .see pic...More local beers tomorrow. . Oh saw first turtle at Napali Beach this arvo whilst washing of travel dust. . Now this surfer mum needs all her beauty sleep. .. nite nite...xo

North Shore Dreaming

Just another day in Hawaii......same old, same old......... NOT!!!!!!

Bernie and Annie will be carving up Waikiki very soon....... say hi to Thomas and Brian at Moku Surf Shop.
Surley we could plan a girls trip in 2 or 3 years , maybe even a mother daughter trip so it sounds more appealing to the menfolk.......

Beautiful beaches , beautiful waves , beautiful food, beautiful sunsets..
Forgot to mention beautiful piña coladas ... Mmmmmmmmm
We have surfed waikiki every morning before the crowds arrive - met some very friendly locals happy to give us tips .
Today was a highlight !!
Michele was heard to say " this is the Beeeest daaaaaay everrrrrrrrr!"
Tommy from moko surf company took the 3 of us on a day trip to the north shore.
We stopped for a look at Haleiwa- too big for the likes of us chickens... Carla and Bernie - u would have loved it !
Next stop a 2 hour surf at ( pointapoint) complete with go pro footage . We had a great surf surrounded by monster turtles . Two large whales showed up as we were leaving right behind the first break.  As we headed to the car , 2 girls we surfed with hold us they hopped out because their friend spotted a shark swimming with us as well.
THAT was when Tommy informs us there are HEAPS of sharks in that spot .
I spent the night before dreaming about saving Michele from being attacked by swimming over a planting my fist into the sharks eyes.... Glad I didn't have to do that.....
Next stop was pipeline and sunset , unfortunately not huge surf but still barrels breaking on the shoreline with a few kamikaze surfers.
To finish off the day we stopped at a roadside van for famous garlic shrimp ... Yummmmm
